I've never even considered the Slug and Lettuce as weird and it had never occurred to me that Studland was saucy. My Nan lives near somewhere called Wyre Piddle and somewhere called Chipping Sodbury, and they make me giggle a lot, and my parents live near Middle Wallop too. I guess most of our places were named a long time ago before they sounded silly.
